From February 21 th  to 24th, Professor Aluísio J D Barros and Fernanda Ewerling have participated to the workshop in Nairobi – Kenya. This workshop was designed to inspire innovative thinking, collective capacity on measurement and evaluation approaches, align around a learning agenda and help further the thinking on gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. Professor Aluísio also had the opportunity to present preliminary results of the women empowerment index he is developing with Fernanda in a panel discussion about innovative methods for measuring empowerment.
