Updated Equity Profiles Presented at Countdown to 2030-PMNCH Webinar

Professor Aluisio Barros, representing the International Center for Equity in Health (ICEH), participated in the Capacity Development Webinar: How to Use the Countdown Country Profiles for Advocacy and Accountability on February 6, 2025. The event brought together health professionals and experts to showcase the latest versions of the Countdown Equity, RMNCAH&N, and Early Childhood Development Country Profiles, focusing on improving global health outcomes for women, children, and adolescents.

Barros presented the updated Equity Country Profiles, developed by ICEH for visualizing and interpreting inequalities in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health (RMNCH) coverage indicators. These profiles, featuring disaggregated data in a user-friendly and visually engaging format, support policymakers to design more inclusive and equitable health programs.

The webinar also highlighted the Countdown Country Chartbooks as complementary tools for monitoring progress in health equity, reinforcing the importance of data-driven advocacy and accountability.
