World Breastfeeding Conference
Researchers from the International Center for Equity in Health participated in the third World Breastfeeding Conference in Rio de Janeiro on November 13th, 2019. The roundtable session, entitled Socieconomic and Ethnic Inequalities in Child Nutrition, was coordinated by professor Cesar Victora.
Paulo Augusto Neves (ICEH) discussed Socioeconomic Inequalities in the Use of Infant Formula in Low- and Middle-Income Countries, and Giovanna Gatica (ICEH) talked about Ethnic Inequalities in Breastfeeding in Latin America. Phillip Baker (Deakin University) and Kleyde Ventura de Souza (IBFAN Brasil) also participated.
