Strategic Information & Evidence to Improve Coverage & Services for Maternal, Newborn and Child Health, Kirkland, Washington, USA

Members of the global measurement and evaluation community on Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) participated in Kirkland, Washington, USA from May 31st to June 2nd, 2015, in a meeting on “Strategic Information & Evidence to Improve Coverage & Services for MNCH”. The meeting was hosted by the MNCH program team of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Dr Cesar Victora and Dr María Clara Restrepo Méndez from the International Centre for Equity in Health (ICEH) took part in this meeting. The Foundation and participants made strong commitments to improving maternal, newborn and child survival rates, and are interested in insights from the global community on how to improve the measurement, learning and evaluation of MNCH in low- and middle-income countries, particularly in the light of the post-MDG era.
